The following clients are not ideal for Faux Freckles
- Anyone under 18 years of age
- Women who are Pregnant or Nursing
- Anyone that is a Diabetic (We require physicians’ approval PRIOR to your appt.)
- Anyone currently taking blood thinners (Must be off of blood thinners for at least 48hrs before & after your procedure. If medically necessary, we recommend speaking with your physician for approval)
- Anyone whose had recent Botox injections/ Fillers (You must wait 2 weeks before having your face tattooed)
- Anyone with a sunburned face (You must wait until your skin has fully healed)
- Anyone taking Accutane (You must wait 1 year before tattooing the skin)
- Anyone with excessively oily skin (Normal oily or combo skin is okay - Severely oily skin may not retain pigment as well and fade much faster)
- Those suffering from the following skin conditions ON the face:
  - Eczema
  - Psoriasis
  - Keratosis Pilaris
  - Dermatitis
- Anyone with severe scarring in the area wanting to be tattooed
- If you suffer from severe Acne

- Drink lots of water and keep skin healthy and hydrated
- Avoid tanning 1 week prior to your appointment
- Avoid Retinol/ Vitamin a 1 week prior
- Avoid alcohol, energy drinks, caffeine and coffee 24hrs before
- Avoid any Facials 2 weeks prior to service
- Avoid taking any blood thinners such as Aspirin, etc. 72hrs prior
- Arrive with your face freshly washed and free of any makeup / products
Below is a list of how to properly care for your new freckles.
- Gently wash your face twice daily (morning and night) for 7 days with a mild face wash (Cetaphil)
- Use a mild, fragrance-free moisturizer daily
- No makeup, facial products or sunscreen for 7 days
- Avoid using any harsh facial cleansers/scrubs once freckles are healed as this can cause premature fading. Retinols/ anti-aging products are also not recommended due to causing a high cell turnover.
- Avoid suntanning and direct sun exposure for 2 weeks after your service
- Wear a hat to help shield your face while outside
- No picking, scratching, rubbing or touching your freckles during the healing process
- After 1 week use sunscreen frequently to protect your freckles and reduce premature fading
- Avoid swimming and sweating for 7 days
We offer a few different freckle coverage options when booking your session with us:
Ultra Light: Very light sprinkle of freckles across the bridge of the nose or those wanting a few beauty marks.
Light Coverage: Includes light layer of freckles across the nose and cheeks. Little to no layering.
Medium Coverage: Layered freckles across the nose, cheeks and lightly feathered on the forehead, temples and chin.
Heavy Coverage: This is max layering across the nose & cheeks, temples, forehead, chin, and lips. This is perfect for those wanting a very heavy freckled look

HOW LONG DO FAUX FRECKLES LAST?

Faux Freckles typically last between 1–3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare routine. Proper care and sun protection can help maintain the color, placement, and natural appearance of your freckles for as long as possible.
DO FAUX FRECKLES LOOK NATURAL?

Yes! Once your faux freckles are fully healed and settled (typically 6–8 weeks), they soften and blend seamlessly with your natural skin, creating a subtle, sun-kissed appearance that looks effortlessly authentic.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE YOUR PIGMENTS/ COLOR?

We use a variety of shades in warm brown that are carefully selected to match your skin tone and natural coloring. This allows us to create hyper-realistic faux freckles that look soft, natural, and perfectly tailored to you.
DOES GETTING FRECKLES TATTOOED HURT?

Pain tolerance varies from person to person, but most clients report that the faux freckle procedure is very comfortable with minimal discomfort. Our skilled artist takes care to ensure your experience is as gentle and relaxing as possible.
CAN I RETURN TO WORK IMMEDIATELY AFTER MY PROCEDURE?

Yes! There is no downtime after your faux freckle service. You may experience some redness or minor swelling during the first 2 hours post-service, but this typically subsides quickly, allowing you to return to work and your daily activities without worry.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY APPOINTMENT?

Before you arrive to your appointment, you’ll complete and submit your electronic consent forms so we can begin promptly. Upon arrival, we’ll cleanse your skin, remove any makeup, and take before photos. We’ll then discuss the placement and density of your freckles based on your desired look.
Next, we create a pre-draw of your freckles, which is the most important step to ensure your vision is perfectly captured. You’ll review the pre-draw, and we never move forward until you are 100% satisfied. Once approved, we manually apply the freckles, using a numbing solution as needed for comfort during the process. After your freckles are complete, we’ll take after photos, review aftercare instructions, and provide a mild facial cleanser to use daily for 7 days to support proper healing.
FAUX FRECKLE TOUCH UPS

Existing Freckle clients looking to add more freckles will receive $100 OFF their booked coverage. Savings will be applied to the balance owed at time of service.
All clients must wait at least 6 weeks between freckle sessions.
ARE THE ARTIST LICENSED, CERTIFIED AND INSURED?

Yes! All of our artists at The Micro Clinics are licensed tattoo artists, certified in Faux Freckles, and trained in bloodborne pathogens. Our studio is fully licensed by the Florida Department of Health, ensuring the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and professionalism.
CAN I BRING ADDTIONAL GUEST TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Guests are welcome to wait in our client lobby, but due to limited space we ask that you limit it to ONE guest only. Due to the nature of our services, we cannot allow additional people in the treatment room during your appointment. For the safety and comfort of all clients, children are not permitted to accompany you during your appointment.
CANCELLATION POLICY

We require all clients to provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Due to the nature of our business and our tightly scheduled appointments, it is crucial that clients arrive on time. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate clients who are more than 10 minutes late, as this impacts subsequent appointments and the quality of service we provide.
